Dual station, twin helm station unit.

This system of twin engine control lever installations is among the most simple in the world and remains very positive. Where a master control and sub-station (secondary control) is used, both gear cables are fed into the same area at the engine end and linked into this dual station box, the second cable (these existing cables are generally referred to as C33 or C8 cables) then becomes a slave on top of this dual station box. Only having one of the cables going through the dual station box, while the other clamps on top.  Keep in mind these cables are all measured tip to tip of the inner.

These are designed primarily for dual lever, single action controls (those that there is one lever controling gear and a separate lever controling throttle). They do not suit single lever dual action controls (one where a single lever operates both gear and throttle) as you are trying to compress and back throw the two.

Many people use one of these units to link the two throttle cables, and another to link the two gear cables.
