Flow Coat ( gelcoat for exterior of boat )

Flow Coat is a gelcoat for refurbishing the interior or exterior of fibreglass boats and repairs to chips and cracks on gel coated areas.

Designed to cure in air it is basically gelcoat with an additive that allows you to coat something with the same gelcoat the fibreglass was made of.  Normally when your fibreglass boat was made, it was laid up in a female mould.  Initially, the gelcoat would have been sprayed on the inside of the mould (as this is going to be the outside of your hull when removed from the mould) and then the mould would have been sprayed with a resin and chopped strand mat,  so the original gelcoat was designed to go off in a vacuum.  To enable you to repair dings, chips and small cracks, you need to have a gelcoat that will work in open air and that is what this is.

Leaves a crisp, non-tacky film when cured.
