Kahikatea white pine shaft to give full flexibility with a modern taint of using a fibre reinforced composite blade, giving the best of both worlds of a flexible shaft that is warm to hold and has been hot dipped varnished. 

The hand piece is simply bare wood as that helps avoid blisters, yet gives a great grip.
